What Nine Below Collects

Nine Below collects the information needed to run the game, protect accounts, and keep online matches working. This can include your display name, generated user ID, password hash for direct sign-in, linked Google or Facebook account identifiers, invite or tester status, friends, clubs, gameplay history, scores, rankings, virtual currency, cosmetics, chat messages, support requests, and moderation records.

We may also collect basic technical information such as IP address, device or browser details, server logs, crash details, notification push tokens, notification preferences, and connection events so we can secure the service, send requested game alerts, and troubleshoot bugs.

How We Use Information

We use this information to create and secure accounts, verify Google and Facebook sign-ins, match players into rooms, run games, save progress, show leaderboards and profiles, operate chat and social features, send enabled push notifications, provide support, prevent abuse, and improve Nine Below.

Google and Facebook login are used only to verify your identity and link your Nine Below account. Nine Below does not receive your Google or Facebook password.

Early Access And Testing Email

If you join the Nine Below early-access list, we collect your email address, optional first name, mobile platform interests, consent record, signup source, and any optional device, operating-system, or platform-account information you provide after selection. We use this information to confirm your request, organize controlled testing waves, provide installation and invite details, explain testing goals, receive feedback, and send program updates.

Early-access email requires confirmation. Selection is not guaranteed. You can withdraw consent immediately through the preferences or unsubscribe link in any early-access message. Early-access contact information is encrypted in storage and is available only to authorized Potterwell administrators and service providers needed to operate email, hosting, database, and app-store testing.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only when needed to operate Nine Below, such as with hosting, database, app-store, authentication, and infrastructure providers, or when required by law or necessary to protect the game and its players.

Some in-game information, such as display name, avatar initial, match activity, scores, profile stats, club membership, and chat messages, may be visible to other players depending on the feature you use.

Retention And Deletion

We keep account and gameplay information while your account is active or as needed to operate Nine Below, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and satisfy legal or store-platform requirements. While signed in to Nine Below, you can delete your account under Settings > Account and sign-in > Delete My Account.

If you no longer have access to the app, use the secure account deletion web fallback. It verifies account ownership and completes deletion without requiring a manual email request.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or anonymize personal account data where reasonably possible. Some records may be kept if needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or completed transaction/history integrity.

Unconfirmed early-access records are removed after their confirmation link has been expired for 30 days. Confirmed consent is refreshed after 24 months; if it is not renewed within 30 days of that request, contact information is erased. After an early-access unsubscribe request, contact information is erased within 30 days and a limited suppression record may be retained for up to 24 months so the address is not contacted again.

Children

Nine Below is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will review the request.
